New Officials

Kurt Sutterer has been promoted to president of Midcoast Aviation, St. Louis, and to the new position of senior vice president of business development for Midcoast’s parent company, Sabreliner Corp. In the new position Sutterer will manage corporate aviation sales and help develop business across the companies. Midcoast also has named Thomas Hilbolt, a 26-year industry veteran, as director of technical services. He will oversee more than 130 airframe and engine technicians at the company’s St. Louis Downtown Airport maintenance facility in Cahokia, Ill. Visit www.midcoastaviation.com.

Koellner, President

Connexion by Boeing has announced Laurette Koellner as its new president. She replaces Scott Carson, who was named vice president of sales for Boeing’s Commercial Airplanes unit. Koellner has more than 26 years of experience in the aviation industry, starting as a contract analyst for McDonnell Douglas. Stark, Managing Director

Lufthansa Technik Logistik GmbH has named S? Stark as its new managing director. He was most recently the operational manager for the Flight Service Group of LSG Sky Chefs, where he oversaw the provision of in-flight service products for all flights by Lufthansa and its subsidiaries. Flanagan, European Account Manager

EMS Technologies Inc., Monterey, Calif., tapped Shaun Flanagan as the European account manager for EMS Satcom’s Aeronautical Group. Flanagan will be responsible for selling eNfusion broadband equipment to government and military users in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Visit www.emssatcom.com.

New Officers

Smiths Aerospace has named Oliver Towers as the vice president of strategy. Towers has been with Rolls-Royce and was, last year, seconded to the UK Department of Trade and Industry as the project director of the Aerospace Innovation and Growth Team.

Smiths also has named Catherine Gridley president of its customer services business. She succeeds Michael Steel, who now is in charge of Smiths’ mechanical systems business. Gridley has been with Smiths since March of 2003. Visit www.smiths-aerospace.com.

Parent, Group President

CAE has tapped Marc Parent as its new group president of Simulation Products. Parent has spent the last 20 years with Bombardier Aerospace, serving most recently as the vice president and general manager. Visit www.cae.com.

Lawson, Executive Vice President

Lockheed Martin has named Larry Lawson the executive vice president and general manager of its F/A-22 Raptor program. He replaces Ralph Heath who has been named Lockheed Martin’s executive vice president. Lawson most recently served as the vice president and deputy of the F/A-22 program. Casko, Vice President

John Casko was named the vice president of engineering, logistics and technology for Northrop Grumman Corp.’s Airborne Ground Surveillance and Battle Management Systems business area in Melbourne, Fla.
