NowGen NEXT: Avionics Presents RTCA's NextGen Implementation Task Force Recommendations

Meeting under the auspices of RTCA, a high-level task force representing the aviation industry and government was launched this year at the request of FAA to provide recommendations for achieving Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) efficiencies by 2018. The Task Force will recommend to FAA and aircraft operators what should be implemented, and when and where, in terms of infrastructure, aircraft equipage, policies, procedures and training to achieve these NextGen mid-term operational capabilities. With this ambitious agenda, it was given a tight deadline — the Task Force is expected to deliver its recommendations by the end of August.

Be among the first to know the proposals of the NextGen Mid-Term Implementation Task Force at this one-day conference organized by Avionics Magazine in partnership with RTCA, the premier advisory and standards-setting organization formed in 1935. You’ll hear directly from the Task Force leadership about the operational changes that have been recommended and the business case supporting these changes. FAA executives, including Administrator Randy Babbitt, will address the prospects and the timing of acting on the critical Task Force proposals.
