This Robinson R44, owned and operated by Los Angeles Helicopters, is used for vertical reference flight training. In this photo, a student from a major helicopter company that specializes in firefighting and heavy lift operations practices dipping a simulated snorkel. LAH uses the single-engine R44 because it is more economical for the student to fly, without compromising the effectiveness of the training.
