  • SpiceJet Commits to Possible Multi-Billion-Dollar Purchase

    Domestic Indian airline SpiceJet has recently committed to the purchase up to 205 Boeing airplanes, the manufacture says. This includes 100 new 737 MAX 8s, SpiceJet's current order for 42 MAXs, 13 additional 737 MAXs and purchase rights for 50 additional aircraft. The 100 737 MAX 8s alone could be worth a reported $11 billion. Should all 205 aircraft be purchased, that number could double.

    The Piper twin-engine Piper Seminole and single-engine Archer TX have achieved FAA certification, said Piper Aircraft. Both piston training aircraft feature the Garmin G1000 NXi platform. Wireless cockpit connectivity and improved ADS-B, among other capabilities, are available in the cockpit thanks to the Garmin suite.
