Northrop Grumman was awarded a contract to provide Specialized Test Equipment (STE) and related training support for the MH-60 Seahawk helicopter program at the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Readiness Center Southwest.

Northrop Grumman’s Navigation Systems Division will provide the STE and training for U.S. Government technicians, subcontracting to Lockheed Martin, prime contractor for the U.S. Navy’s MH-60 Common Avionics Suite. Once trained, the technicians will be able to utilize the STE to perform depot-level repairs to Northrop Grumman-developed MH-60 cockpit avionics equipment at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest located in San Diego.

"Northrop Grumman has worked closely with Lockheed Martin and the Navy to develop a customized solution for MH-60 avionics repairs that supports their partnership," said Gorik Hossepian, vice president of navigation and positioning systems, Navigation Systems Division. "Having the necessary test equipment on site will give the Navy greater flexibility in performing repairs and help minimize lifecycle support costs."
