Applied Avionics’ Vivisun LED annunciator is used in the new Rockwell Collins approved model list STC for ADS-B Out on part 23 aircraft models.

The certification covers 32 unique aircraft models from M7 Aerospace and Textron Aviation equipped with Rockwell-Collins’ TDR-94/94D Mode S Transponder, which the company said will allow operators to become compliant with the FAA’s looming DO-260B regulation for flight ID broadcast.

Applied Avionics said its Vivisun annunciator responds directly to the Arinc 429 data bus and provides an ADS-B FAIL indication, eliminating the need for additional hardware. The company expects this to ease supply chain concerns as the FAA’s 2020 compliance deadline comes closer, saying that fewer aircraft than expected are ready.
