Rockwell Collins has received an approved model list STC from the FAA for its ADS-B Out covering 32 unique Part 23 aircraft models from M7 Aerospace and Textron Aviation.

Part of the certification is Rockwell-Collins’ TDR-94/94D Mode S Transponder, which the company said will allow operators to become compliant with the FAA’s looming DO-260B regulation for flight ID broadcast.

The new ADS-B Out certification pairs that transponder with Rockwell Collins’ GPS-4000S GPS Sensor or FreeFlight Systems’ 120C3 SBAS/GNSS position source. Operators can check if their aircraft qualifies for the new ADS-B Out certification here.

Rockwell Collins said it expects similar certification for Part 25 aircraft models in the next few months and validations for both with EASA and DGAC.
