The F-35 program will be getting maintenance support in Europe from Avionics Test Center Denmark, a collaborative effort from Terma and Scandinavian Avionics.
The two European companies plan to perform MRO with a specific focus on avionics for Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Lightning II and other aircraft including the Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules and the AgustaWestland EH101 Merlin and Sikorsky UH-60R Seahawk helicopters, according to Terma CEO Jens Maaløe.
As far as the Joint Strike Fighter program, maintenance backups and long supply lines have been a continued challenge, so an additional maintenance depot could help all parties.
