Senate Adds $1B to US Army Budget Supporting Aircraft Procurement

Six Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawks assigned to U.S. and Saudi Arabian forces approach the final objective during Friendship and Ironhawk 3, a two-week military-to-military exercise at the Tactical Training Center in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

U.S. Army aircraft and combat vehicle procurement stand to receive billions in additional funding under a funding bill proposed by Senate appropriators Nov. 21. Senate Appropriates Committee-Defense (SAC-D) recommended extra funds to, in part, support procurement of Boeing, Sikorsky and Airbus models.
