Delta Private Jets is expanding its MRO capabilities by opening a new location at Sheltair Aviation on the grounds of the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).

The new MRO facility in South Florida joins the company’s flagship MRO at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, which provides a full list of services including aircraft inspections, avionics repair and installation, mechanical and structural repair services, engine change and advanced troubleshooting. Both locations provide installation and repair of Gogo Business Aviation’s IFC systems and Garmin ADS-B installation for Delta Private Jets aircraft.

The new facility includes a 15,000-sq-ft hangar and an additional 2,200-sq-ft office space in the world’s largest business jet market. It will support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance needs with an on-site team servicing multiple locations in the South Florida area and providing access for international operators.

“The addition of the South Florida MRO provides us the unique position of being an operator and a maintenance service provider, giving us consistent control of our aircraft while offering retail services for Part 135 and Part 91 operators as well,” said Gary Hammes, president of Delta Private Jets.

Delta Private Jets is currently servicing aircraft needs in the South Florida area with a team of trained technicians and will grow to a full-service, 24/7 operation later this year.
