[Avionics Today 04-20-2015] Garmin International has announced enhanced capability and an expanded feature set for its Gulfstream G500/G600 aircraft glass flight display systems. The upgrade includes modernized mapping displays as well as a support capability for advanced Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) traffic and weather. The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has approved the flight display systems, extending the validation of this certification to also include hundreds of makes and models of European-registered general aviation aircraft.

“This update gives these displays a fresh, new look and expanded capabilities that reduce pilot workload and improve safety by putting valuable flight and navigation information in the pilot’s primary field of view,” said Carl Wolf, vice president of aviation sales and marketing at Garmin.
