Bombardier Opens First Commercial Airline MRO Facility in India

[Avionics Today 02-11-2015] Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has appointed GMR Aero Technic Limited of Hyderabad, India as an Authorized Service Facility (ASF) for its Q400 turboprop. This is the first authorized Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility for Bombardier commercial aircraft in India.

Under the ASF agreement, which takes effect immediately, GMR Aero Technic will offer Bombardier customers the full range of line and heavy maintenance services from its facilities located at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The 294,000-foot MRO facility is certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for line maintenance, and by both EASA and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA, India) for heavy maintenance.
