[Avionics Today 02-09-2015] American Airlines has signed a firm confirmation order for 24 of Bombardier’s CRJ900 NextGen regional jets. The order is valued at approximately $1.14 billion and American’s regional subsidiary, PSA Airlines, will operate the aircraft under the American Eagle brand.

The options are part of a previously booked 40 aircraft agreement and were originally acquired as part of American’s large regional jet order announced in December 2013.
