[Avionics Today 12-09-2014] Embraer and FlightSafety International completed the training of the first class of pilots for the new Legacy 500 executive jet. The simulator, qualified as Level C by the FAA and by Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), trained the pilots to operate the customer jets.


The Legacy 500 received certification from ANAC in August and from the FAA in October, with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification expected in the near future. The Legacy 500 is now able to operate in Brazil, the United States and in countries that require FAA certification. The first Legacy 500 was delivered to a Brazilian customer in October.
