[Avionics Magazine 12-02-2014] Textron’s TRU Simulation + Training plans to establish a new maintenance training facility for current model Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft to be located on the Textron Aviation Mid-Continent campus in Wichita, Kan.
When completed, the existing space will be converted into a training center equipped with TRU Simulation + Training courseware and aircraft maintenance instruction, modern classrooms and a flight line hangar. In the new facility, Cessna and Beechcraft owners and operators will have access to courses ranging from avionics initial theory to engine run and taxi for the different aircraft models and will train on a combination of actual aircraft and TRU Simulation + Training maintenance trainers.
According to the project timeline, the new facility will be ready for Beechcraft maintenance training in January 2016 and for Cessna maintenance training in January 2017.
