[Avionics Today 08-08-2014] Following in the trend of the expanding business jet market, ExcelAire, a New York-based private jet charter and aircraft management company, updated its fleet of bizjets with the addition of a Gulfstream GIV-SP. ExcelAire is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hawthorne Global Aviation Services.
ExcelAire’s new GIV-SP includes seating for 18 passengers and three crew members, Internet and Wi-Fi services, a range of 4,350 nautical miles, Rolls-Royce Tay Mk 611-8 engines, and the Honeywell SPZ-8000 avionics suite can be found in the GIV-SP’s cockpit.
