[Avionics Today June 26, 2014] The Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Integrated Display System (IDS) has been certified by the FAA for upgrading on Pro Line II-equipped Hawker 800 business jets.

Retrofitting with the Pro Line IDS replaces the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays in the Hawker 800 with four large, configurable 10 x 8-inch liquid crystal displays (LCDs).  The upgrade also gives Hawker 800 owners  and operators the ability to comply with the FAA’s 2020 ADS-B Out mandate.

"Updating legacy flight decks with Pro Line 21 IDS enables a number of key advantages, including enhanced situational awareness, improved reliability and reduced maintenance cost," said Craig Olson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins.
