Jet Works Air Center in Denton, Texas, was awarded two FAA supplemental type certificates for the installation of the Rockwell Collins AHS-3000S Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) on the Learjet 31A and installation of the Rockwell Collins Data Link System on the Piaggio Avanti II. Jet Works Air Center said the AHRS STC provides a replacement for the existing Litef Gyro System that was outfitted as original equipment. Included in the STC is a digital interface adapter box required for the Bendix King KFC-400A Autopilot System. Jet Works Air Center will provide the complete wire harness, mounting inserts and interface adapter boxes as a part of the STC AHS-3000S kit. The company said the Data Link system contains the CMU-4000 which is capable of managing data link communications over all three RF sub-networks and an additional VHF-4000 radio which is required for specific applications. Jet Works Air Center said it will offer this Collins Data Link System to the existing Pro Line 21 Avanti II fleet.
