Quantum3D, Rosen to Develop 3-D Map

Quantum3D, San Jose, Calif., was selected by Rosen Aviation, Eugene, Ore., to produce a 3-D mapping system and Human Machine Interface (HMI) for the RosenView HD in-flight entertainment (IFE) system. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Quantum3D said its IDataMap product is already flying on business jets as a part of Rosen’s existing RosenView LX system. For the RosenView HD system, Quantum3D is delivering an advanced IFE HMI that includes 3-D mapping with the fusion of multiple geospatial datasets, as well as additional advanced features. The RosenView HD will be available in Q4 2009.
