Aspen Avionics, based in Albuquerque, N.M., received FAA Approved Model List Supplemental Type Certification (AML-STC) for its EFD1000 Primary Flight Display (PFD). The company said this certification, combined with the Technical Standard Order granted this month, authorizes installation of the PFD in almost 400 airplane makes and models. Also, this certification allows the company to begin shipping and its dealers to begin installing the system.
