Avidyne Corp.’s TWX670 Tactical Weather Detection system received European Technical Standard Order authorization from the European Aviation Safety Agency. Avidyne, Lincoln, Mass., made the announcement at this week’s HeliExpo conference in Houston. The company said the TWX670 is the first color, real-time, lightning-based tactical weather avoidance system for general aviation aircraft. The system received Technical Standard Order acceptance from FAA last year.
