AirCell, Louisville, Colo., received EASA certification for its EZ satcom system aboard Bombardier Challenger 600, 601 and 604 business jets. The EZ satcom system, which was introduced last year, is designed to reuse the MagnaStar system’s existing aircraft wiring and component locations, reducing installation downtime, AirCell said. The system also gives operators the option of retaining legacy system features, such as call alerting and integrated fax capability, when replacing their MagnaStar. The initial Challenger certification was completed aboard a CL-604 aircraft by RUAG Aerospace Services in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany.
