Israel-based Bental Industries said it signed a contract with an Italian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturer to supply its payload systems for the vehicles. Financial terms of the deal and the name of the Italian company were not disclosed. Bental said it will supply its MicroBAT 275, which the company said is the small payload available today. The MicroBAT 275 is designed for both day and night operation in enemy territory and meets the complex challenges of surveillance, reconnaissance, and observation missions, the company said. All MicroBAT systems offer a high-resolution stabilization control board and remarkably accurate geared motors. The MicroBAT family’s unique mechanical flexibility –– enabling a 350º rotation on the bearing axis and a total of 200º on the hading axis –– together with the system’s sophisticated algorithms, assures a precise aim at targeted points.
