Aircraft Electronics Association: Award Winners

Barry Aylward, co-owner of Kitchener Aero, in Breslau, Ontario, and Mid-Canada Mod Center, in Toronto, has been named the Aircraft Electronics Association’s (AEA’s) Member of the Year. He serves on the AEA board of directors as Region VI vice president and member of the strategic planning committee. AEA also has bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award on George Lewison. Aviation Supplies & Academics Inc.: Peri, Marketing Director

Aviation Supplies & Academics Inc. (ASA), Newcastle, Wash., has named Josh Peri director of marketing. His experience includes working with the newly developed Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as an airport security instructor. Peri also has been a pilot for American and Delta airlines, as well as for charter and cargo operators. Flight Deck Resources Inc., Dana Point, Calif., has appointed Keith Lockwood president. Gulfstream Aerospace: New Officials

Bizjet manufacturer Gulfstream Aerospace has named Richard Johnson vice president-engineering. He has been with the company since 1981 and most recently was vice president, chief engineer, in charge of developing the long-range G550 and G500 business aircraft. Rockwell Collins: Dodson, VP and General Manager

Rockwell Collins has promoted Tommy Dodson to vice president and general manager of its Passenger Systems Group. The 25-year Collins employee is in charge of the company’s in-flight entertainment (IFE) business. IRyan International Corp.: New Officials

Ryan International Corp. has expanded its sales organization. The Columbus, Ohio-based firm has promoted Mike Marie from account representative to manager for the Eastern U.S. sales region and hired Tom Kirschbaum as an account representative. Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia: Harris, Head of Maintenance

Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia, in Jeddah, has named Richard Harris head of maintenance. He joined the company in February, transferring from Saudi Arabian Airlines, where he was supervisor of its cabin crew and support shops. Prior to his employment with the airline, Harris was a maintenance technician with Gulfstream Aerospace. He received training in the U.S. Army and at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Rohde & Schwarz: Vohrer, President and COO

MichaelVohrer has been appointed president and chief operating officer at Rohde & Schwarz GmbH. He replaces Hans Wagner, who has stepped down from the company’s board of directors. Vohrer formerly was executive vice president and head of Rohde & Schwarz’s Test and Measurement Division. He joins Friedrich Schwarz, chairman, and Reinhard Bruckner on Rohde & Schwarz’s board. Elisra Group: Biran, Chairman and CEO

The Elisra Group’s board of directors recently elected Danny Biran to serve as the group’s chairman and chief executive officer. He is president of the Israeli holding company, Koor Industries Ltd., which controls 70 percent of the Elisra Group. The group is based in Bene-Berak, near Tel Aviv.
