Ducommun Wins A350 XWB Support Contract

[Avionics Today 02-17-2015] Airbus has awarded an A350 XWB support contract to Ducommun to provide titanium components for titanium assemblies that will be installed on the aft fuselage section of the jet. The components are currently in production at Ducommun’s New York-based operations center.

“This new contract establishes the baseline for Ducommun to continue expanding its support of Airbus in North America,” said Anthony J. Reardon, chairman and chief executive officer of Ducommun. “We are focused on growing our relationship with this key original equipment manufacturer by providing value-added structural solutions for the innovative Airbus technology being implemented to make aircraft stronger, lighter, and more energy efficient.”
