Lockheed Martin was awarded a $16.7 million contract from the U.S. Navy for six spare AN/AAQ-30 target sight systems (TSS) for the AH-1Z Cobra attack helicopter, the Navy announced Tuesday.

The TSS provides target identification and tracking; passive targeting for integrated weapons, including Hellfire missiles; and a laser designation capability supporting friendly laser-guided weapons.

Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla. (90 percent), Ocala, Fla. (10 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2014.
