Curtiss-Wright’s Fortress family of military flight data recorders has completed all qualification testing and begun shipping to customers. They are designed to meet all current and upcoming regulations including the forthcoming CVR 25-hour mandates as well as those of EUROCAE ED-112A, a first in the industry.

The Fortress range combines a flight data recorder, cockpit voice recorder, datalink recorder and airborne image recorder into a single unit and can be rapidly modified to meet customization requirements for particular aircraft needs. It supports expansion,  so customers can add options such as MIL-STD-1553 data links and health and usage monitoring systems, all while reducing aircraft LRU count and overall system weight.

Curtiss-Wright is exhibiting at the Farnborough Air Show in Chalet C4.
