Innovative Solutions & Support Inc. (IS&S) is partnering with Triumph Group Inc. as an installation center. IS&S’s cockpit/IP flat panel display system can now be fitted to Classic Series Boeing 737 and 757/767,and its integrated standby unit can be installed, at all its locations throughout the world.
“This agreement strengthens Triumph Group’s offerings under the Total Life Cycle Solutions program by adding avionics retrofit capability,” said Mike Abram, EVP for Triumph Product Support. “The IS&S flat panel display system extends the operating life of critical flight deck instruments and adds value for customers. We are proud to partner with IS&S on this retrofit effort.”
IS&S said its flight deck upgrade replaces aging flight instruments on the Boeing models. It utilizes a common 10.4-inch LCD display architecture that the company developed and certified to increase operational performance, improve dispatch and on-time arrival, simplify maintenance, enhance situational awareness and improve safety for legacy aircraft. It can decrease power consumption and weight, resulting in fuel savings and reduced CO2 emissions. The retrofit is in service on more than 320 757/767 aircraft.
