Tunisair recently signed up for Jeppesen electronic flight bag services, Jeppesen said. A five-year deal would give the Tunisian airline FliteDeck Pro for iPad, tailored charting services and OpsData aircraft performance management tools.

“Optimization of navigation and flight services operations will provide Tunisair with an advantage in the market, using digital Jeppesen services,” said Ola Lindblad, director of Jeppesen’s sales and services of the Middle East, Africa, Russia and Central Asia. “We are pleased to be working with Tunisair to eliminate paper-based flight materials, reduce fuel consumption and enhance bottom line results based on more efficient processes and data analysis.”

OpsData can provide Tunisair with on-demand aircraft performance analysis for its mixed Boeing and Airbus fleet.

Tunisair is only one of several airlines that has recently tapped Jeppesen for FliteDeck Pro. LOT Polish Airlines and AirAsia Group are both set for paperless charting.
