This year, Rockwell Collins says it hopes to double its business development team working out of Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh. The company has been in that market for 20 years, but hopes to strengthen industrial capabilities of the regional defense and aerospace industry. As part of this effort, Talel Kamel has been appointed managing director, and Bernard Bouillaud has been appointed sales director of the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa for Rockwell Collins.

Having previously worked at Airbus and Strata in the UAE, Kamel joined Rockwell Collins in 2013 as a government systems principal sales account manager for the company’s International and Service Solutions (I&SS) business. In his new position, he will be responsible for leading and developing commercial and government systems business interests in the region.

Bouillaud has been at Rockwell Collins since 1998, and has held several positions in program management and business development. Before being named to his new position, Bouillaud served as strategy director for the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa, based in Dubai. As sales director, he will lead a defense market team based in the Middle East.
