This marks the fifth acquisition in less than three years, which is part of its Design-Build-Maintain Strategy. Cyient already has a presence in the aerospace and defense market, providing engineering services. The company plans to expand its reach in the avionics market by acquiring Florida-based Certon.

“We expect the industry to have continued investment in avionics driven by technology changes and obsolescence and this acquisition will aid Cyient in strengthening our presence in the avionics market,” says Anand Parameswaran, senior vice president and head of the business unit. “Stringent aviation safety regulatory standards for hardware and software development adds significant efforts in validation and verification. Automation capabilities brought in by Certon, coupled with Cyient’s strong global delivery capabilities, will reduce the cost-and-time-to-market for our clients.”
