[Avionics Today 12-20-2016] Comsat, a recent acquisition by Satcom Direct, has won numerous, multi-year Airborne Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) contracts each totaling several million dollars in annual business, according to a Dec. 19 statement released by the company. Its recently fielded Managed Services Operations Center (MSOC) in Herndon, Virginia, which provides real-time monitoring and control of satcom networks, supports the company’s growth.

“The MSOC has significantly streamlined processes to ensure responsiveness and operational integrity of customers’ global end-to-end networks,” said David Greenhill, president of Comsat and Satcom Direct Communications (SDC).
