[Avionics Magazine 10-18-2016] Rockwell Collins is introducing a new service that helps organizations establish onsite or hosted Cyber Security Operations Centers (CSOC) with the aim to cut back on cyberattacks on critical infrastructure.

“Critical infrastructure is the backbone of our nation’s economy,” said Jeffrey Johnson, staff vice president of surface transportation and critical infrastructure for Rockwell Collins. “Yet many organizations lack the technical expertise and resources to monitor their own networks 24 hours each day. This offering addresses that need by helping organizations such as airports … establish a dedicated onsite or hosted center equipped with the right cybersecurity technologies, equipment and expertise.”

For organizations looking to expand their internal capabilities, Rockwell Collins will design and build onsite CSOC solutions, which include commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies. The company also provides hosted cybersecurity solutions from its operations center that monitor, warn and engage in countermeasures to cyberthreats for critical infrastructure around the world.
