[Avionics Magazine 10-06-2016] The FAA, EASA and Brazil’s civil aviation authority (ANAC, for it’s name in Portuguese), have certified Rockwell Collins’ Head-Up Display (HUD) and Enhanced Vision System (EVS) for Embraer’s Legacy 450 and Legacy 500. The company has combined these two systems into the Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) to raise situational awareness in all phases of flight and enable more missions to be safely completed in inclement weather and low visibility.

E2VS consists of a compact HUD, incorporating Rockwell Collins’ new Head-up Guidance System (HGS) and its multi-spectral EVS-3000 enhanced vision system. The HUD can be incorporated into the Legacy cockpit and fully integrated with Rockwell Collins’ Pro Line Fusion avionics suite.
