[Avionics Today 08-08-2016] A power outage in Atlanta, Georgia, which began at approximately 2:30 a.m. EDT, Aug. 8, has impacted Delta computer systems and operations worldwide, resulting in the cancellation of approximately 300 flights as well as further flight delays. All flights enroute are operating normally, Delta said. The airline said that flight status systems, including airport screens, are incorrectly showing flights on time.

“As of 10:30 a.m. EDT, Delta operated 800 of its nearly 6,000 scheduled flights. While systems are improving and flights are resuming, delays and cancellations continue,” Delta released in an August 8 statement.
