TRU Simulation + Training to Provide A320 FFS to Pan Am Flight Academy

[Avionics Today 04-24-2015] Textron’s TRU Simulation + Training has signed a letter of intent with Pan Am International Flight Academy for its purchase of an Airbus A320-200 FFS X full motion flight simulator. The company expects both the FAA and European Aviation Safety Association (EASA) to qualify the simulator as a Level D device.

TRU will configure the simulator to meet Airbus A320 standard 1.8.1 and feature a number of technologies including Moog electric control loading actuators and 6-degrees of freedom motion system, as well as a moveable forward-facing instructor operating station tower with multiple high-definition touchscreen color displays. TRU expects the A-320-200 FFS X to be ready for training in September 2015.
