CarlisleIT Introduces ARINC 791 Satcom Installation

[Avionics Today 04-09-2015] CarlisleIT, under a new partnership with Saint Gobain Performance Plastics, has introduced a new ARINC 791 solution for Ka- and Ku-band satellite communications installations. The package features adjustable installation fittings for aircraft frame spacing while also providing discrete interface loads to the fuselage.

The design conforms to the ARINC 791 standard, which is the specification that is followed for Ku-band supported In-flight Connectivity (IFC) systems. According to CarlisleIT, the design provides a standardized installation, easier maintenance inspections and an overall lower cost of ownership.
