Boeing Advanced F-22 Simulators Promise Mission

[Avionics Today 01-09-2015] Ground-based training for the F-22 Raptor just got more realistic with Boeing’s delivery of the first F-22 Raptor training simulators with an immersive, 360-degree visual environment. Two simulators were installed, each paired with the Constant Resolution Visual System (CRVS), a display that provides high-resolution imagery for pilots to train with nearly 20/20 acuity.

This latest F-22 mission training center delivery is the fourth of five mission training centers ordered by the U.S. Air Force. The fifth will be installed this year. Boeing will upgrade the previously delivered F-22 mission training centers with the CRVS as well.
