Rockwell Collins provided the avionics data network on the A350, as well as several other components, including; the information management onboard solution, voice and data communications system, Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR) and the Digital Low Range Altimeter (DLRA). The A350 is the first commercial aircraft to feature a DLRA, which provides precise height measurements above terrain during aircraft approach, landing and climb-out phases of flight, according to Rockwell Collins.
