[Avionics Today 11-17-2014] Thales and Shanghai AVIC (SAVIC) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) confirming a partnership to provide joint solutions to the Chinese helicopter market. Thales promises to bring its latest certified helicopter avionics know-how and technologies to the partnership, while SAVIC, who has already developed a number of avionics suites for Chinese helicopters, offers local expertise of systems integration, software development, customer support and through-life services.
The joint solution will be based on the Thales TopDeck certified helicopter avionics suite with interactive functions and includes high levels of integration providing significant reduction in weight.
