[Avionics Today 10-29-2014] Safran and Max Aerospace signed an agreement last week in Dehli, India to create the joint venture Max Aero Engines Private Limited (MAEPL). The joint venture will offer military aircraft engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services in India.

MAEPL will provide complete engine support solutions, in particular shop-level maintenance and flight line services. More specifically, its main role will be providing maintenance services for the Snecma M53 engines powering the Mirage 2000H fighters, on behalf of the Indian Air Force (IAF), starting in 2015.
