Thales Opens Innovation Hub in Singapore to Design Asia-Centric Products

[Avionics Today 10-14-2014] Thales has officially inaugurated the Thales Innovation Hub Singapore, which represents the company’s first multidisciplinary innovation center outside of Europe.

The idea behind the hub is to seek inspiration from Asian concepts, innovation and thinking with the aim understand the operational needs of clients in the region, and subsequently design new products and services that address these specific requirements, according to a statement released by Thales.

The Thales team, which will partner closely with the Singapore University of Technology & Design (SUTD), will co-design, prototype and test new ideas and concepts across domains ranging from maritime security to aerospace, defense, air traffic management and smart cities.
