[Avionics Today 10-07-2014] CAE and Japan Airlines (JAL) have entered into a joint venture to provide flight crew training services across Northeast Asia, excluding China. Following the expected signing of the training services agreement next March, the Japanese carrier will conduct all training at the CAE-JAL joint venture facility, starting April 2015.

The equally owned joint venture will initially comprise JAL’s existing training center located in Tokyo, Japan as well as CAE’s training center in Northeast Asia. Training services for third-party customers currently training with CAE throughout Northeast Asia will also be offered by the new joint venture.
