[Avionics Today 08-18-2014] Surf Air, an “all-you-can-fly” membership airline based in California, has ordered 65 new Pilatus aircraft. The orders — 15 firm orders and 50 options — are set to be delivered over the next five years in order to keep up with the projected demand of the country’s membership-based airline.

The total order value is approximately $312 million for which Surf Air has raised approximately $73 million in new funding. Surf Air will be the only membership-based operator to use the Pilatus PC-12 NG in North America.
