[Avionics Today May 7, 2014] Swedish defense and security provider Saab has a new agreement with Liebherr-Aerospace to provide Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services for landing gear equipment across the entire family of Embraer E-Jets (E 170 and E190 series).
Liebherr-Aerospace is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the E-Jet’s landing gear. The agreement will allow Saab to acquire and maintain updated technical documentation for E-Jet family landing gear equipment in order to perform maintenance services for the equipment.
“We already have a great deal of experience in conducting maintenance on the landing gear of various aircraft and this agreement gives us a wonderful opportunity to expand those operations, as we now can offer Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul services to the entire E-Jet market,” said Anders Skålehed, director of marketing and sales for MRO, at Saab´s business area support and services.
