Esterline CMC Electronics’ (CMC) IntegriFlight GPS Landing System has been granted a FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for GPS Localizer Performance with Vertical (LPV) Guidance approach operations on Boeing B737 Classics. Logic-Air Aviation Services of Mirabel, Quebec, was responsible for the development and installation of the system and is the holder of the STC issued by ACS-NAI, a Transport Canada approved Design Approval Organization.

According to the company, the installation of its CMA-5024 Space Based Augmentation System (SBAS) GPS Receivers in conjunction with CMA-5025 Control Panels provides a highly economical approach to retrofitting aircraft with LPV capability.

The CMA-5025 control panel has been designed and produced by Air Data, of Montreal, in partnership with CMC, with this key component allowing the flight crew to select LP and LPV SBAS final approaches, based on a worldwide SBAS approach database hosted by the CMA-5024.
