Airbus has selected Rockwell Collins to provide the rudder/brake pedal assembly for its A350 XWB family aircraft.
Rockwell Collins said this is the most content the company has ever been selected to provide for an Airbus aircraft, as Rockwell Collins is also supplying the communications, information management, landing and navigation systems for the A350.
The airframe manufacturer recently announced its decision to drop the planned lithium ion batteries for the A350 and revert back to using the nickel cadium batteries for the aircraft’s planned entry into service in 2014. More
