New regional carrier OLT Express Germany signed a five-year agreement with Lufthansa Systems to deploy the NetLine/Ops ++ IT solution and Lido/RouteManual navigation charts on its fleet of Fokker and Saab jets.

Lufthansa said the NetLine/Ops++ solution will lower operating costs and increase the punctuality of flight operations by up to 6 percent for OLT Express Germany.

OLT acquired regional German carrier Contact Air in September, and considered the airline’s experience with the Netline suite in its decision to purchase the solution from Lufthansa.

“The punctuality aspect is very important to us. As a customer-focused airline, we place great value in minimizing the effects of any planned or unplanned schedule changes for our passengers. The modern NetLine/Ops ++ system from Lufthansa Systems offers the best promise of maximum punctuality,” said Günter Daxhammer, vice president of flight operations at OLT Express Germany.
