Prime contractor Alenia Aermacchi selected Northrop Grumman Italia to provide its LISA-200 Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) for the Israel Ministry of Defense’s fleet of M-346 advanced trainer aircraft.

The LISA-200 AHRS will be the latest avionics upgrade provided by Northrop Grumman for the Israeli M-346 program, building on five years as a supplier for the fighter trainer.

“The LISA-200 is ideally suited to meet the rigorous standards set by the M-346, which is one of the world’s most modern and advanced jet trainer systems,” said Marco Clochiatti, managing director and general manager of Northrop Grumman Italia. “This award builds on prior collaboration with Alenia Aermacchi through programs such as the Eurofighter and exemplifies Northrop Grumman’s navigation leadership in international markets.”
