Panasonic Avionics will line-fit its in-flight communications and connectivity system, Global Communications Suite, on Airbus A380s.
"Broadband connectivity, especially on long-haul flights, is increasingly important to our customers, and we are very excited to be working with Airbus on this significant milestone," said David Bruner, vice president of Panasonic’s Global Communications Service.
Panasonic’s Global Communications Suite provides two-way broadband connectivity to an aircraft, supporting passenger and crew applications including in-flight broadband Internet access over Wi-Fi, and mobile phone service offered in collaboration with AeroMobile. Panasonic’s in-flight connectivity service also includes global live television service.
